Sherry Segura

 

Dr. Sherry Segura has more than 26 years of education experience and is a proud product of the California public school system. She served as a middle school English language arts, English language development, and reading intervention teacher. She spent 7 years as an instructional coach, supporting teachers in growing and developing their craft. She was a successful early childhood, elementary and K-8 school administrator in Colorado and in California. She is committed to providing all students with a rigorous, high-quality education coupled with enrichment opportunities to ensure post-secondary success. Her unique experience of teaching middle school, instructional coaching, overseeing preschool, elementary, middle school, and high school, teaching undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students is pivotal to understanding the entire academic trajectory.

Dr. Segura received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities and Fine Arts from the University of Central Florida. She earned a Master of Education from the University of Houston and a Doctor of Philosophy in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Denver. Dr. Segura served an adjunct professor in the Morgridge College of Education at the University of Denver and is currently an adjunct professor in the School of Education and Psychology at Santa Clara University. She was the Chief Academic Officer at The Foundation for Hispanic Education prior to becoming the Chief Executive Officer.
