Hello TFHE Community,

The Foundation for Hispanic Education (TFHE) has been closely monitoring all developments related to Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), in addition to related health advisory notices. As the County of Santa Clara has been authorized to close public schools from Monday, March 16, 2020, to Friday, April 3, 2020 (LINK), The Foundation for Hispanic Education (TFHE) will also close its campuses for these dates. Accordingly, all field trip activities, athletic activities, and non-instructional school organized activities for this period have been canceled or postponed until further notice.

Please be advised that this decision was not made lightly and is being done as a public safety precaution in line with State, County, and Public Health offices to limit exposure and transmission of the virus. The time off will allow schools to plan to best meet the needs of students and their families upon return. As a result, please make all necessary accommodations as all campus locations will be closed to all parties for the specified dates.

In the meantime, we will provide you with all updates through our communication channels of email, phone (OneCallNow), and public online posting (tfhe.org). Should you have any questions about this notice or related concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your school site administrator.

UPDATE: Please be advised that as of Wednesday, March 25, 2020, Santa Clara County has followed a unified, regional decision in coordination with Bay Area counties to extend all school closures through May 1, 2020 (LINK HERE). Accordingly, TFHE will resume instruction as directed on Monday, May 4, 2020.
